I don't know how long my tattoo will take, which time amount should I choose?

Take your best guess! I confirm all bookings and make sure that there is adequate time for the tattoo. The most important part is for you to choose a day that works best for your schedule.

How much do you charge?

I charge $150 minimum (45min or less) and $200/hour. Guest spots and conventions within Canada: $200/min and $220/hr but may vary depending on distance travelled. Out of country prices will vary depending on the destinations local rates.

Can I book a consultation?

If you are booking for a larger piece like a back or a sleeve I am happy to have a sit down to trace you and chat about your ideas. Please request a consult by emailing me at brandycampbelltattoos@gmail.com. If you are booking for something smaller you are not usually required to come in for a consult.

I would like to get one of your flash pieces. How do I book one?

That's great! All you need to do is choose a time amount based on 1. how big you want it and 2. the detail of the piece. Then fill out the booking form like normal. Make sure to specify which flash you are looking to get.

All bookings get assessed by me and I will edit the appointment if I think we need more or less time. Don't stress about choosing the right amount of time per project.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Don't be hung over. If you are hung over I will not tattoo you and you will lose your deposit. Have a good sleep and a decent breakfast beforehand. Bring snacks and water with you and if you're booked for 2.5 plus hours I would recommend that you bring a lunch.
Moisturize the area you are getting tattooed everyday for a week before your appointment. This will help the tattoo process go quicker.
If the area is hairy, a shave before coming in would be appreciated.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

Unfortunately it's clients only in the shop. If you have special requirements or are in need of emotional support please address that in the booking form.

Can I see the drawing before hand?

I don't show finished designs until the day of the tattoo. If you would like I can send the preliminary sketch a day or two before the appointment.

What if I don't like the design?

I'm never going to put anything on you that you're not 100% on. I will reschedule and redraw it once for you. If you are still not satisfied on the second try we would have to part ways as I may not be the best fit for you.

I can't make it to my session, what can I do?

Please email me as soon as you can. I require one week notice to reschedule in Chemainus and two weeks notice for guest spots. I will reschedule you once. If you need to reschedule a second time your first deposit becomes void and I will need a new deposit.

If I get COVID can I reschedule without losing my deposit?

Of course. If you have been in contact with someone that has tested positive please reach out. Our first priority is everyone stays safe.
I will only reschedule your appointment once. On the second reschedule your deposit will be void and the appointment will require a new deposit.

I had to cancel my appointment, how long will my deposit last for?

I will hold your deposit for one year starting on the date you sent it. After a year you will require another deposit to book in.

What kind of projects do you prefer?

I enjoy botanicals immensely. If we can add plants that are related to you and your background I enjoy that even more. I prefer medium to large pieces (eg. thighs, half and full sleeves and backs) incorporating plants, lady faces, bugs, birds, snakes and small mammals.

Do you offer cover ups?

Yes. I would need to see a photo of it before I can approve that it's something I can work with. A large part of my portfolio are cover ups.

Do you finish already started tattoos?

It depends. Not very often but depending on the circumstances and the design I can. Please fill out the booking form and I will assess it.

Can I use numbing cream?

Please ask me beforehand.
I do not use numbing cream for lining the tattoo but for shading and colouring I do not mind. If you would like to use it during your first session please bring your cream in with you and we can put it on once the lines are tattooed. If you are coming in for a colour or shading session you can apply the cream (in a thick layer) an hour or 2 before coming in. Use plastic wrap to cover the applied cream and come to the appointment with the wrap still on.

Alternatively I do keep numbing spray to use sparingly to extend the amount of time you can sit for. This is used at my digression and upon your approval. Please familiarize yourself with any risks associated with numbing products. I am not liable for any complications due to numbing products being used.

Are your products vegan?

Yes, to my knowledge everything I use to tattoo is vegan
